Who handles your data
TryMyFate is an independent online astrology service. The service operator is responsible for the personal information described here. Privacy requests and complaints can be sent to contact@trymyfate.com.
What you provide
We process your account identifier and email; optional name and gender; birth date, time, place, coordinates and timezone; calculated charts; questions, responses and saved conversation context. Messages can include personal information you choose to share. We also record timestamps and reading usage counts.
Why we use it
Account and birth information let us authenticate you, calculate your chart, generate requested readings, and restore saved conversations. We use limited operational information to secure the service, prevent abuse and resolve errors. Where the law requires a lawful basis, requested service processing relies on performance of our contract, and proportionate security processing on legitimate interests. Optional processing relies on your choice or consent where required; you can remove optional profile information and stop using the service.
Who receives it
Clerk processes sign-in and account identity. Our reading provider, Magica and the model services it connects to, processes your question, relevant conversation history, chart context and profile information included in the reading. Nominatim, operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, receives birthplace search text to resolve locations. Vercel serves the frontend; infrastructure providers host the API and database. Providers may retain information under their own terms. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not train our own models on your conversations.
International processing
TryMyFate uses service providers that may process information in countries other than yours. Your data is not promised to remain in your country of residence. Contact us for details about provider locations and the safeguards applicable to your request. Your rights under applicable data protection law are not waived by using the service.
How long it stays
Saved birth charts, profile details and readings remain until you delete them or request account removal. The data controls delete active saved data immediately after a successful request. The latest daily reading counter is retained separately to prevent bypassing usage limits. Sign-in identity remains until account closure. Limited operational logs are retained for diagnosing errors and preventing abuse. Information required for a specific legal obligation or an active security investigation may be retained for that purpose.
Browser storage
The browser keeps your requested theme, cached birth details, chart, active reading, drafts and workspace preferences. Sign-out and the saved-data deletion control clear account data from that browser. Authentication cookies are managed by Clerk. Our cookies and storage page explains these purposes and controls.
Your choices and rights
You can download saved data, delete saved readings and charts, correct profile details, and request account closure. Depending on the law that applies, you may also request access, correction, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent or object to particular processing. Contact contact@trymyfate.com using your account email; we may verify ownership before acting. We aim to respond within one month and will explain any lawful extension. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
Automated processing
Readings are generated automatically from the context supplied to the model. We do not use those readings to make decisions about employment, credit, insurance, access to healthcare or other decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Age and updates
TryMyFate is for adults aged 18 or older. Contact us if a child has supplied information so we can investigate and remove it. We update this notice when processing changes, date the update, and obtain fresh consent where required; publishing a notice does not replace consent.
